40 Days for Life is a community-based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigil, and community outreach. 40 Days for Life takes a determined, peaceful approach to showing local communities the consequences of abortion. It puts into action a desire to cooperate with God in the carrying out of His plan for the end of abortion in America.

The 40 Days for Life Spring Prayer Vigil starts on Ash Wednesday (February 22) and concludes Palm Sunday (April 2). We will be praying from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day. Churches in communities around the country are asked to stand up for the lives of the unborn. In Richmond, many churches are getting involved in this effort to encourage women to visit the Pregnancy Resource Centers instead of Planned Parenthood or the abortion clinics in town.

WHAT WILL WE DO?  
We will all pray together. Some of us will hold signs. Others will hand out flyers to any women we meet, giving them a phone number for a pregnancy hotline, and information about the Pregnancy Resource Centers, which offer free ultrasounds.

WHO CAN PRAY?
You. And friends or family members, or your Community Group.
