SERMON DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. Read Matthew 13:24-30 & 36-43. Now, take a moment to at least glance over the remaining of the chapter. What do these 7 (or 8 depending on your categories) parables have in common? What theme(s) rise to the top?
2. Now, turning to focus on 13:24-30 & 36-43, “the wheat & the weeds.” What are some characteristics of The Kingdom of God?
3. How does this parable speak to the problem of evil in the world?
4. Have you ever wondered/doubted if you are wheat or weed? Explain that a little with the group.
5. What implications are there in that Son of Man only sows good seed?
6. What does the patience of the farmer have to teach us about our living in and building God’s Kingdom now? What about the coming separation of wheat and weeds? Discuss both of those generally and specifically for you as an individual.
7. Spend some time in prayer together about the specific applications that you have discussed.
