Read John 1:1-14
-In this Advent Series, “Abide with Us” we have worked our way through John 1 looking at: Abiding with the Father, Abiding in His Story, Abiding in the World, and here in verse 14, Abiding in a Body.
What has stood out to you the most in this series, and why?
-Take a moment and read verse 1, then 14 again.
-In the context, what does it mean that “the Word became flesh”?
-How does this verse describe the nature of Jesus?
-Why is it important that Jesus ‘dwelled among us’?
-What is the significance of the pairing of ‘grace and truth’?

How does (or should) it impact our daily lives that Jesus became a human and lived among us (literally tabernacled among us)? What does it mean to “see the glory of the one and only Son” on a daily basis? What hope for our daily lives and for our future do we find in this verse? How can we live out the reality of Jesus’ incarnation in our relationship with others?
