2. What is the relationship between Jesus and these siblings? How do you think they felt when Jesus didn’t travel 2 miles to meet them in their time of crisis? According to the text, what was Jesus’ purpose in His delay?
3. Marth and Mary come to Jesus with the same statement. Why does Jesus respond to them differently? What does that have to say about how we come to Jesus in our suffering and how He responds to us?
4. What does Jesus’ weeping have to say about Him?
5. Toward the end of the chapter we are shown that this miracle was one that was pivotal in the ministry of Jesus. Why and how is that so?
