Sunday Class | Summer in Films
Sundays | June 9 – July 28 | 9:45 AM | Fellowship Hall
Ever watched a movie and seen elements of the Gospel? Has a hero or heroine reminded you of a biblical story? This Sunday class for adults will take a deeper look at films to look for elements of the Gospel, biblical themes and maybe even how a film encouraged a person’s faith. These films were chosen by fellow Stony Pointers who will lead you through their favorite scenes and impart their wisdom on each film. Your assignment is to watch these movies ahead of time then come and discuss. Warning: some of these films have adult themes and some colorful language.
- July 21 | Wall-E
- July 28 | Ben Hur (1959)
Following the last Summer in Films class on July 28, all of our Sunday School classes will take a break for the first three weeks of August. Classes for all ages will start back up again after our Fall Ministry Fair on August 25.
