[Misty is a colleague of Melinda Batalias. When Ana and Logan were unable to go She joined our team less than 24 hours before we flew from Dulles to Warsaw. We are grateful for God’s provision and Misty’s courage. Misty, who prayed us through this project, composed this prayer as a beautiful coda to our time in Ostroh.]
Father,
You are worthy of all honor and praise. We thank You for safe passage to and from Ukraine. We thank You for appointing us to bring the message of Your love to the students of Ostroh. We thank You for the opportunity to worship with our brothers and sisters of Salvation Church and to see the many ways they are working to glorify You in all that they do. We thank You for their willingness to host the English Club, to minister to soldiers on the frontline, and to provide care and rehabilitation to men and women struggling with addiction.
We praise you God because You see each student and know just what they need, bringing each individual to engage in Bible discussions, hear testimonies, devotionals, and prayer. We are grateful to be used as a vessel through which You were able to spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Your Son to those around us. Thank You for each volunteer that committed to connecting and pursuing their fellow students that they may continue to build relationships and share the gospel. May You continue to be magnified through Your work in their lives. Thank You for the fruitful conversations that we were able to have with students showing the work of grace that You’ve demonstrated in our own lives.
God, we ask that You would continue the work that was begun in Ostroh this week. When the students remember the Americans, may they remember the love and the work that You have done in each of our lives. May they continue to be drawn to Your Son. May the veil be removed that they may come to the knowledge of the truth. We ask for continued protection over every person that we encountered this week. In the midst of the war, may Your peace reside within them. And may their lives, hearts and minds be guarded in Christ Jesus.
