Generosity and Relationships
1. What does it mean to pay attention to yourself and why is it important to do so when someone else has sinned against you?
2. At first read, this passage may appear to create a scenario in which the one who sinned against us can go on sinning indefinitely without consequence. How does this passage allow for both forgiveness and change in behavior?
3. The apostles immediately ask for faith because it often feels impossible to give radical forgiveness. Why do you think Jesus chooses this illustration of faith seen in verse 6?
4. What does the parable of the unworthy servant teach us about our own motivation and attitude (or what it should be) in serving the Lord?
5. How has Jesus paved the way for our own forgiveness and humility in serving?
6. How has God been generous in the way he relates to you? Where have you been doubting that generosity?
7. In what areas have you been struggling to forgive? How might God be calling you to, in faith, be generous in how you relate to others?
