Hello to all of our sweet Church Family back in RVA in the US. And greetings to you from your Jordan Team and all of our brothers and sisters in Christ here in Amman. We are surely seeing the hand of the Lord everywhere we visit here.

Our first team visit this morning was to a wonderful ministry called 3RD Person. You may recall that the Good Samaritan was the third person to come upon the beaten traveler and the only one who showed compassion to the man. 3RD Person has many programs that weave evangelism and discipleship into community development in their majority Muslim neighborhood. These programs include vocational development, kindergarten, sports ministry, men’s and groups, home visits, and more. We visited 3RD Person’s kindergarten for Syrian refugee children. It is just flourishing with small children with big smiles. Their teachers are all precious and caring Syrian refugees who also had big smiles, caring hands, and very compassionate hearts. It was a joy to see their well decorated classroom and hear about all the subjects they are learning about.

After a truly Jordanian lunch we divided our team and went visiting into the homes of four of the Iraqi refugee families, very much a blessing for all. These families continue to carry the light of Christ in their hearts even though the enemy continuously takes aim to destroy their hopes. Of the two families that I personally shared time with….one family has been working on their immigration papers to leave for six years and the other family has been waiting on the government for sixteen years. We in the west just cannot imagine these strained situations that they have to live under.

We ended the day with dinner meeting hosted by a Jordanian Christian leader named Hani. He who has worked to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ all of his life. I can’t wait to share with you his incredible testimony and life story when our team returns to SPC and enjoys another Mission Info-Lunch together. We will have his and so many other amazing testimonies to share of the absolutely incredible and miraculous things that God is doing here in the Middle East!!!
