Warm-Up – Someone has described obedience as “faith in action.” Do you agree?
1. What words and phrases indicate how David feels about God?
2. What consuming purpose is David pursuing (vv. 2-5)?
3. What was the mood when the ark of the covenant was finally brought to Jerusalem (vv. 7-9)?
4. This passage gives us a sense of David’s joy in persistently following God. What keeps you persisting in your faith?
5. How did the Lord assure Israel of future blessings (vv. 11-18)?
6. How does the faithfulness of others (past or present) inspire you to persevere in obeying God? 7. How does the assurance of God’s faithfulness encourage you to obey Him?
