This morning, our team was warmly welcomed by the Nazarene Church in Al-Ashrafieh where we were blessed by spirit-filled singing and preaching. After the service, Pastor Khalil and his wife, Rhanda, led us on a tour of the church facilities and told us of the generosity of several donors who gave money to buy land and build additional facilities allowing them to reach more of the community around them. Hearing their stories of coming to faith, finding each other, and obeying God’s call to expand their building and presence was a lesson in what God can do in the most unlikely situations.
We ate an amazing lunch in the home of Pastor Wasim, his wife, Lillian and their two children, Justin and Jociel. As we listened to the stories of how God brought together Wasim and Lillian. God’s mercies and provision were evident in His marvelous plan to bring them to Grace Church in Mahata.
In the evening, we enjoyed more enthusiastic worship at Grace Church. Devotions and testimonies interspersed with hymns (in both Arabic and English) filled our hearts with joy and encouragement to hear voices united together in praise and adoration for our Savior, Jesus Christ.
How exciting it is to learn about what God is doing to spread the gospel message of His saving grace in Jesus through His people in these churches and the many churches they have planted. Please pray for God’s powerful work to continue in Jordon.
