JONATHAN GROOMS ~ GLOBAL PARTNERS IN PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the privilege of serving and witnessing Your work in Jordan. Thank You for guiding, protecting, and strengthening our team throughout this journey. We praise You because You are faithful in every generation, and Your Word reminds us that “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end” (Lamentations 3:22–23).

Lord, we lift up the nation of Jordan before You, a land where so many know Jesus only as a prophet and not as the risen Savior, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Open blind eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Reveal to hearts that salvation is not found through good works or religious striving, but only through the finished work of Christ on the cross. Your Word says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8–9). Draw many to repentance and faith, for You are “not willing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

Father, we pray especially for the refugees from Iraq and Syria who are waiting, grieving, hoping, and searching. Many carry deep wounds from war, persecution, displacement, and uncertainty. In the waiting, guard them from discouragement and despair. Let this season in Jordan become a time of spiritual growth, healing, and preparation for the future You have for them. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that Your plans are good (Jeremiah 29:11). May they know the peace that only Christ can give.

We thank You for every refugee home our team entered. Thank You for the hospitality and openness we experienced. We pray that every conversation, prayer, Scripture shared, and act of love would bear eternal fruit. Let hope rise in these families. May many come to know Jesus personally, not merely through tradition, culture, or religion, but through a transformed heart and a living relationship with Him.

Lord, strengthen Grace Church and Pastor Wasim and Lilian. Thank You for the beautiful ministry we witnessed through their lives and through the church family. Give them endurance, wisdom, joy, and renewed strength. Your Word says, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). Raise up faithful laborers to come alongside them. Send mentors, encouragers, disciplers, and servants who will strengthen their hands for the work You have called them to do.

We praise You for the growth we saw among the believers at Grace Church. Thank You especially for Myrna, Rogena, and Myriamma. Continue to establish these young women in their faith. Let them grow in wisdom, boldness, purity, and love for Christ. Protect them from the attacks of the evil one and strengthen them to shine brightly for You in a dark place.

Father, thank You for the unity we witnessed among ministries and global workers serving in Jordan. Thank You for Chris Dawson and Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary, for Lorna and her staff at Hope and Trust, for the Brockmans and their team with 3rd Person, for Hani and the Evangelical Free Churches of Jordan, and for Jesus Diaz and the Kelsey Arabic Program. Continue to deepen cooperation among believers and ministries throughout the Middle East. May the Church walk in humility and love toward one another, just as Jesus prayed. “By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).

Lord, we thank You for the women’s conference and the powerful impact it had on the Iraqi refugee women who attended. Thank You for the four women from Stony Point Church who courageously shared personal testimonies of pain, struggle, healing, and redemption. Thank You that through their weakness, Your strength was displayed. We pray that the truths shared would continue bearing fruit in the lives of the women who attended. Where there is bitterness, bring peace. Where there is envy, bring contentment. Where there is fear, bring trust. Where there is loneliness, bring belonging. May these women continue to grow in Christ and walk in freedom through the power of Your Spirit.

Father, we pray for every member of the team that traveled. Do not allow this trip to become only a memory or emotional experience. Let the things they saw and learned go deep into their hearts. Stir them to pray more faithfully, advocate more boldly, give more generously, and love the nations more deeply. May they faithfully share the stories of the people they met and become ambassadors for Your Kingdom wherever You send them.

Lord, we thank You for allowing our team to be a small part of what You are doing in the Middle East. We pray that You were glorified through every word spoken and every action taken. Let lasting fruit remain.

And Father, we ask boldly for a great harvest across the Middle East. In the very region where Christianity began, where the Gospel once spread with power, breathe life again. Pour out Your Spirit on all flesh. Save Muslims, refugees, those who were born into “Christian” families, and those far from You. Raise up worshipers from every tribe, tongue, and nation. We believe Your promises are true and that the Gospel is still “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16).

Jesus, You are worthy of worship among all peoples (Revelation 7:9-10). We trust in Your plans because they cannot fail. You are good. You are just. You are merciful. Your love never fails.

We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Savior….. Amen.
