1. How do you think the events recorded in 21:1-27 set the table for the parable of the tenant?
2. Who was the audience for this parable and why do you think that is significant?
3. Jesus posed a question in verse 40. What do you think is the attitude reflected in the listeners response in verse 41. Compare that with their response in verses 45-46. How do you think they felt when they realized the parable was about them?
4. How do you see the grace of God expressed in this parable?
5. Compare verse 43 with John 15:8. How are disciples of Jesus characterized? What do you think it means to be part of His kingdom?
6. What are the reversals seen in verses 33-46? Discuss what impact this should have on our lives as followers of Jesus?
