Grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ
One of the best ways to grow as followers of Jesus Christ is to be in meaningful relationships with one another. That’s why we encourage everyone who calls SPC their church home to connect with others outside of Sunday morning worship. Take a look at our ministries below to learn more about ways to connect and grow with us.
Women's Ministry
SPC’s Women’s Ministry seeks to provide women with opportunities to grow their faith as well as their relationships with other sisters in Christ. Resources for studying God’s word are provided year round as well as opportunities to fellowship and be in community with women. For more information about Women’s Ministry at Stony Point Church, contact Dawn James.
Young Adult Ministry
The Young Adult Ministry at SPC is a place for every young adult to have a meaningful interaction with Jesus Christ through meaningful relationships in community groups, transformational study of Scripture, community with the larger church of SPC, and acts of service in our city. For more details, contact:Sami Jones 804.426.3367 or Anna Woodcock 703.975.0661.
Children's Ministry
Helping our children begin the race well by laying a firm foundation for faith in Jesus is one of SPC’s top priorities. We do everything we can to create a safe and secure environment, build relational trust, and teach eternal truth. Jennie Ray, Zac Collins, and many teams of committed adults and teens devote themselves to caring for and encouraging faith in Christ to our kids. For more information about Children’s Ministry at Stony Point Church, contact Jennie Ray today.
Community Groups
SPC Community Groups are one of the best ways to connect and grow outside of Sunday morning worship. Our Community Groups meet in groups of about six to twelve people at various times in homes and other venues all over town. CLICK HERE for more information about Community Groups, or send an email to Curt Kenney.
18-22 SPC
Join other young adults ages 18 – 22+ for Sunday school each Sunday morning and for Bible study, dinner, and fellowship on Sunday evenings. For more information, contact Frank Matthews at frank@stonypointchurch.org or 804-929-2975.
Sunday Classes
Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, our Sunday Morning Classes will help you develop a Christian mind and heart in the company of others. The following classes are currently meeting at SPC most Sunday mornings.
Missions
Jesus gave this command to his disciples — Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I commanded you” (Matthew 28:19 & 20a). We believe this call applies to all Christians until Jesus returns. And it is our privilege to support and participate in sharing the good news of the gospel both locally, here in Richmond, and around the world.
Student Ministries
Supporting our teens through their middle and high school years is one of SPC’s top priorities. Zac Collins and several teams of committed adults devote themselves to establishing trusting relationships with our students, commending faith in Christ to them and modeling trust in Jesus. For more information about Youth Ministry at Stony Point Church, contact Zac Collins.
Lay Counseling & Support
Lay Counseling is one-on-one counseling in a non-clinical environment. Volunteer leaders are trained in the principles of counseling to offer loving care and promote Christian maturity through developing a deeper relationship with God. Support groups provide a warm, caring and confidential environment where heart issues can be shared and explored and biblical concepts provide the foundation for healing. For more information, contact Fran Holdsworth.
