“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.” – Romans 15:4

This year, the theme of women’s Bible study is HOPE. Where is our hope? How do we find lasting restful hope? We will be studying the book of Exodus, chapters 1-17, with a Jen Wilkin study entitled, God of Deliverance. Through this inductive study we will learn more of who God is, One who keeps His promises, and will pray our lives are changed by this knowledge. This study will wrap up by the end of November. We will continue in an optional (individual or group) Advent study entitled, Our Hope has Come. This 5 week study will help us focus our hope on Jesus by giving us a view of others in the Bible in difficult circumstances who found their eternal hope in hopeless circumstances. In January we will study the book of Esther in a study entitled, Esther: The Hidden Hand of God by Lydia Brownback. The book of Esther does not mention God but He is clearly there, working. Has there been a time in your life when God seemed hidden? This study may be for you. As we work through these studies, we will be dedicated to praying for one another and for the application of God’s Word to our lives.

Our Women’s Bible studies meet in small groups on Tuesday mornings from 10:00-11:45 AM and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM at SPC with childcare. There are also groups meeting at other times during the week at SPC or in homes without childcare. Studies can also be done independently. Each week there will be homework lessons and when meeting together in small groups each week, we will discuss these lessons and pray for our lives to be changed by this gained knowledge. Questions? More About Women’s Bible Study at SPC

Each week there is an assigned scripture passage and a video teaching by an SPC woman. The video recordings are meant to encourage the application of the assigned passage to our daily lives. These studies can be used independently and/or in a small group. The small groups meet together weekly to discuss and pray through the scripture passage and to encourage and pray for one another.

No, our hope is women will join a small group study when they can, but study along with us independently when weekly small group attendance doesn’t work into their schedules. Please register even if studying independently, so that you receive links and updates.
