Nate & Laurie Mackey What a week of serving, fellowship, outreach, encouragement, laughter, praise, and prayer! The Dornoch 2026 Mission Team made it back to Richmond about ten hours ago, exhausted but with hearts full, having witnessed God’s greatness on display for us in abundance last week. There are many stories to tell - please ask us.
Dawn James: Wow! What a great week it has been! Today is our last day in Dornoch. We attended the family worship service where the Holiday Bible Club (HBC) Worship Team aka The Space Cadets (Dom, Joe, Madeline, Isaac and Elise) lead us in song. The HBC kids joyfully sang along while doing the motions to the songs they had been singing all week. Please continue to pray for the HBC kids and families. Many kids took home age-appropriate Bibles. God’s Word is living and active and if His Word is being read aloud in the Highlands….May God’s Kingdom grow as a result.

Elise & Cara Mackey : It’s the end of the week and we’ve just finished Holiday Bible Club. This week has flown by and we can’t believe that it’s already over. The two of us have been working with kids with ages ranging from four to eight, and the most common thing we saw was that many of them had never attended HBC and knew little to nothing about God and the Bible.
Micah & Caleb Kuester: Yesterday we finished up Holiday Bible Club, which was a wonderful time to get to spend with the kids and lead them.
Michael & Cindy Bryant: After shifting (as our Ugandan friends say) from Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement to Lira yesterday, we spent some time with Pastor Silas Okello of Truth Fountain Ministries. Truth Fountain is SPC's Mission Partner in this part of Uganda. This morning, we travelled with Silas from Lira south to Aduku (about 43 miles) to deliver our last two MediCradles to Aduku Health Center IV.
Kume Goranson: I have had the privilege of serving at the Dornoch HBC for three years, and it was a joy to return again this year. As someone who did not have a relationship with Jesus until adulthood, I know the challenges of growing up without Christ in your home or your life. I have prayed that our work this week will plant seeds in the children's hearts that will grow, and someday they will remember what they are learning with us.
CJ James: It has been such a blessing to be a helper in the five and six year old class at Holiday Bible Club. Although chaotic, it brings great joy to my heart to see kids that don’t know the Lord grow in their faith through the gifts of others. Such as my sister’s great acting as she told the story of Eve today. The kids in my classroom were shocked to hear the story of the garden of Eden for the first time.
