The Gospel can change anyone, anywhere!
If you had told the few and fearful disciples of Jesus Christ, hiding away together in the Upper Room the night before Christ was raised, that within 20 years the message of Jesus, carried by a former Pharisee, would penetrate the darkest city of the Greek world and plant a growing church there, they would have been amazed. In every respect the Church of God at Corinth, as Paul called it, was a miracle. It remains through Paul’s first letter a testament to the power of the Spirit speaking through His Word to change even the least promising situation in our present world also.
