NATALIA M. DIAZ AVELLANEDA: Today was our second full day doing site ministries. The day started around sunrise - 5:30. We ate breakfast with our host, Señora Rafaela. She made us some breakfast, which is always delicious. After we were done with breakfast we finished getting ready and headed to the Plaza. We then met up with the rest of the people that came this week from the US: a group of six from Crown College and one individual. We all walked together to the Community Center, which is a breathtaking experience, both from the view and hills.
REY DIAZ: After a surprising uneventful traveling day where every single aspect from Dan Johnston transportation to RIC Airport to connection flights were as scheduled and planned, we arrived to busyness of Guatemala City.
SPC's Guatemala 2026 Mission Team (AKA the Diaz family) is in the air today. The Diaz family is Rey, Tania, Camila, Natalia, and Gabriela. Please pray for safe travels and health. And stay tuned here and on SPC's Members and Friends Facebook Group for daily project updates.
JONATHAN GROOMS ~ GLOBAL PARTNERS IN PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT: Heavenly Father, We come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the privilege of serving and witnessing Your work in Jordan. Thank You for guiding, protecting, and strengthening our team throughout this journey. We praise You because You are faithful in every generation, and Your Word reminds us that “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end” (Lamentations 3:22–23).
MICHAEL BRYANT: We arrived at Petra early Friday morning and had the place mostly to ourselves. Tourism, one of Jordan's primary sources of income, has been almost non-existent since the US and Israel began bombing Iran. The Bedouin merchants and guides at Petra, as well as everyone else we have met selling anything in Jordan, asked us to tell you that Jordan is very safe and very open for business. They invite you all to come as soon as possible. We concur. It is a wonderful place to visit. Even with a war on in the neighborhood.
MICHAEL BRYANT: We began this day with the Grace Church staff, enjoying a very yummy breakfast together followed by an opportunity to encourage our friends with selected short readings from the Scriptures and prayers inspired by the themes of the readings by each team member.
CINDY BRYANT: Greetings from Mahatta in Amman, Jordan. Our fifth day on this mission project was filled with interesting information, plenty of emotions, and shopping till we dropped!
SIENNA MITCHELL: Today our team hosted a women's conference at Grace Church. We had a good sized crowd of women, who seemed to appreciate the topics of emotions like loneliness, fear, and envy. We played some games and they all got to color a page with Proverbs 3:5 on it.
ROSEBUD HOWREN: Hello to all of our sweet Church Family back in RVA in the US. And greetings to you from your Jordan Team and all of our brothers and sisters in Christ here in Amman. We are surely seeing the hand of the Lord everywhere we visit here.
